Gawith Hoggarth & Company Tobacco Packaging
The brief was to come up with packaging that had a traditional feel, but also stood out from the competitor's products. I think that this was the most successful design, but the customer wanted to see something yellow and green with tobacco leaves instead of the lion and unicorn.

The "Kendal" typeface and the pipe smoking man were taken from existing Gawith Hoggarth packaging, the art deco lion and unicorn were based on a poster by Joe Quesada and were used to give the packaging a 'British Empire' feel.
